We are proud to announce that the bibliography of travelogues in Ottoman, Arabic, and Persian languages created by Güllü Yıldız is now online accessible via Zotero. A detailed survey of literature, bibliographical works, library catalogs, and online search engines brought out a list of almost 200 travelogues that report an actual journey on Ottoman lands between 1501 and 1850 as well as a list of over 150 titles of literature on the topic. The creation process of the collection intends to be inclusive rather than exclusive regardless of the literal form of the text or the purpose of the journey. Hence, this library includes travel narratives of pilgrims, state officials, scholars, literati, or embassies in prose and verse. Travelogues with images and digitized sources are highlighted in sub-collections. Despite all the effort put into creating this library, it is necessary to keep in mind that it is open to constant updating and development.
